I specialise in older adult fitness and teach a variety of different
classes specifically for older adults. Classes are friendly, welcoming
, fun and often have time afterwards to socialise over a cup of tea.
The Zumba gold program is a slower less intense
version of Zumba specifically designed for active older adults
or beginners. Learn moves to Latin American Rhythms such as cha
cha, salsa, merengue and Samba.
The ZumbaŽ Gold-Toning program combines the enticing world rhythms of
the Zumba GoldŽ program with the strength-training techniques of the
ZumbaŽ Toning program, creating an easy-to-follow, health-boosting dance-fitness
program for the active older adult as well as beginners. You'll learn
how to use weighted, maraca-like Zumba Toning Sticks to enhance rhythm,
build strength and tone all the target zones.
Older Adult Pilates
Pilates is a great type of exercise for older
adults as it does not have the impact on the body that other forms
of exercise do. Pilates can increase your stability and balance,
improve the strength and flexibility in the core , spine, legs
and upper body. It can be extremely beneficial for arthritis sufferers
and people who suffer from osteoporosis and back pain. This particular
class can be done standing seated or on a mat.
A popular and fun class. Moderate intensity exercise
to 60’s sing a long music. Easy to follow fun and effective
moves to help improve fitness, co-ordination and mobility followed
by strength exercises to improve body tone, flexibility and strength.
Older Adult Gym
A supervised group gym class using gym equipment (bikes,
treadmill, rower) and circuit style exercises to improve fitness
, body tone and strength.
